Much to our surprise, the manager defended the restaurant’s position saying that the price of every dish is clearly written in the menu, implying that we were wrong to order something if we didn’t know the price of it. This seemed disingenuous for something which is clearly intended as a side dish; and it’s not as if pak choi is normally a particularly expensive vegetable.
